About This Sermon:
This recording opens with the prayer line already being called — cards J-35 to 50 — and with the congregation singing "Only Believe." Branham sets the scene from Mark 9: a father bringing his epileptic son down the hill to Jesus, and the words, "I can if ye believe, for all things are possible to them that believe."
He then repeats the foundation he has laid all week. No minister can heal anyone; Brother Jackson cannot, and none of the ministers praying for the sick can. The only thing they can do is point people to Jesus, where healing was already purchased. Salvation and healing were both settled at Calvary nineteen hundred years ago, and it does the hearer no good until it is accepted. Beyond the preached Word, God has set gifts in the church — tongues, interpretation, wisdom, knowledge, prophets — because He knew the question mark of unbelief would still be there.
He warns that spirits surround the platform, and that a vision must single out one person at a time. He answers the charge of mind reading by saying the devil has a counterfeit for everything God has, but that Jesus Christ perceived thoughts, and that this is the same Spirit.
The prayer line includes a small child injured in a fall, with something running into the rectum and a discharge, whose father is also suffering with a prostate condition; a woman with epilepsy, and a second epileptic in the audience later in the service; a woman with a tumor in the breast who also surrenders her life to Christ on the platform; a woman with a growth in her back and a childhood sorrow; back trouble, heart trouble, menopause, female trouble, an abscess, stomach trouble and a peptic condition, palsy and anemia, arthritis with kidney involvement and a history of tuberculosis in an elderly couple, cancer, and asthma in the audience. The service closes with a curse pronounced on every doubting spirit in the room and a call for the congregation to stand and accept their healing.
