William Branham Sermons - For Him Will I Accept (52-0718)

Sermon Title: For Him Will I Accept
Date: July 18, 1952
Location: Hammond, Indiana
Code: 52-0718

About This Sermon:
In this message preached in Hammond, Indiana, William Branham opens by reflecting on the hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” and shares his heart for the unity of the Church. He receives a report that only about a dozen of the seventy-eight people prayed for the previous night had reported a definite change, and he determines to try a different approach—praying for the sick in a mass healing line, simply laying hands on them and praying, rather than waiting for a vision for each person. He honors Brother John Ryan, a humble converted Catholic and former acrobat who was one of the first to speak in tongues in his presence and prophesied that God would use him. He reads Job 42:8, the account of God telling Job’s friends to bring a burnt offering and ask Job to pray for them—showing the value of prayer and that God accepts the one who prays. He draws parallels between Job’s trials and the Christian’s trials, emphasizing that every son must be chastened and that the true child of God stands firm. He speaks of the earnest of our salvation—Divine healing is the firstfruits and down payment of our resurrected bodies. He then steps into a powerful mass healing service, calling out people with stomach trouble, nervous conditions, heart trouble, and cancer, and commanding them to stand and be healed. The service closes with a powerful mass healing demonstration where many are healed at once.
