William Branham Sermons - The Second Miracle (51-0729E)

Sermon Title: The Second Miracle
Date: July 29, 1951
Location: Erie, Pennsylvania
Code: 51-0729E

About This Sermon:
In this closing night message in Erie, Pennsylvania, William Branham reads Isaiah 53:1 and John 4:46-54—the account of the nobleman whose son was healed at the word of Jesus, which the Bible calls the second miracle. He emphasizes that the nobleman believed the Word spoken to him and went his way in obedience, and that his son began to amend at the same hour Jesus spoke. Branham warns that time and sight are the worst enemies of God, and that eighty percent of people who come to the platform have hope rather than faith. He shares the testimony of Finland—the two boys struck by a car, one killed and one dying with a concussion—and how the Angel of the Lord appeared to him with two Easter flowers and two pieces of candy, showing that both boys would live. A Finnish minister present confirms the account. Branham also testifies of his own stomach healing—how he ate pork and beans and onions against the doctor's orders, refusing symptoms and confessing his healing until it materialized. He warns about the three things that hinder a minister—money, women, and popularity—sharing how he refused a million-dollar check and a twenty-eight-thousand-dollar check. Using Jonah in the whale's belly, he urges the congregation to look beyond symptoms to the finished work of Calvary. The service closes with a powerful prayer line and a mass laying on of hands by the ministers, where many are healed.
